Abstract
New Information About Hoca Dehhani
Hoca Dehhani who is one of the first representatives of
Classical Turkish literature is first introduced to the
science world in Hayat Mecmuası in 1926 by Fuat

(History of Şikari) and on his existing qasidah. Hikmet
İlaydın, on the other hand, argues that Dehhani lived
much before, in the period of Alaeddin Keykubad I (1220-
1237). But Günay Kut asserts that Hoca Dehhani lived in
Karamanoğlu Alaeddin Ali Beg's period, in the second
half of the 14th century based on the data in nazirah
macmuas. Köprülü established his 1 qasidah and 6
ghazals in poetry macmuas. Günay Kut added another
ghazal which increased the number of ghazals to 7.
