Abstract
New Phrases As The Manifestation Of Originality In Indian Style Poets
As poets of Indian style created new mazmuns (hiding
a meaning in metaphorical words or phrases that is
associated with its features), they attributed new meanings
on things and incidents and formed phrases that
established new associations of meaning between things
and incidents. Although some of these phrases are new,
they gained wide currency among Indian style poets and
became common elements of this style. Most of the time it
is not possible to determine which poet such common
phrases belong to especially if they are widely used among
poets of the same period while some other phrases have not
gained popularity and remain unique to a single poet or
only one or a few subsequent poets.
This study deals with some new phrases that are less
widely used and can be determined which poet they belong
to, and thus aims to reveal the characteristics and
originality of poets under the influence of the same style.
