Abstract
An Evaluation On Kiyâfetnâme Written By Hoca-zâde Muhammed Râsim Hikmet
In classical Turkish literature, the latter is a literary
genre written by many authors. These literary genresgenerally-
are written to evaluate people's physical
characteristics based on their physical characteristics. In
terms of content, they usually refer to the limbs of the
human body, which appear to be mouth, eyebrows, eyes,
nose, chin, hair and cheeks.
Many works have been written in Turkish literature
related to the type of clothing. Some of these works are
written as a separate section and some of them are written
as a section in other works of the authors. The scope of our
study is the Kââfetnâme section of Hâb-nâme-i Râsim
Hikmet, one of the non-independent types of clothing,
registered under the Turkish Manuscripts Department
T06739 of the Istanbul University Rare Books Library. In
this work, the author described twenty-two different types,
showing his paintings, and mentioned the personality
traits of people of this type. In this study, the ties
established between the physical characteristics and the
personalities of the twenty-two different types (forms) of
this type of doomsafe will be examined.
