Abstract
The Use of Eulogy Language in The Mesnevis of The First Period Anatolian Field
The most common works of Islamic literature, mesnevis
are the pieces of literature that have rhymed lines between
each other. Mesnevis which can be written in thousands of
couplets are considered as the novels of the eastern
literature due to this characteristic.
The common characteristic of the mesnevis in the first
period of Anatolian field is that they are the works playing
a role upon the development of both the courtly culture and
social life. These mesnevis are the works written in accordance
with the demands and directions of state directors.
In these mesnevis in which the first works related to the
high courtly culture and institutionalized classical literature
have been written, there are eulogies attributed to the
administrators.
In this study, eulogy sections of mesnevis such as Hurşîd
ü Ferahşâd written by Şeyhoğlu Mustafa, Cemşîd ü
Hurşîd by Ahmedî, Çengnâme by Ahmed-i Dâî, Tabiatnâme
by Tutmacı and Hüsrev ü Şîrîn and Harnâme by
Şeyhî which were written in the 14th century during the
era of Murat II will be discussed in terms of their content,
form and language.
