Abstract
On a New Work of Şeyyâd Hamza: Dâsitân-ı Nemrûd ‘Aleyhi’l-la’ne ve İbrâhîm ‘Aleyhi’s-selâm
Attracting attention as one of the Hamse poets in the 14th century, Şeyyâd Hamza generally writes masnavi and poems with religious content. In addition to the already recognised masnavi poems of the poet in literatere such as Yûsuf u Züleyhâ, Ahvâl-i Kıyâmet, Dâstân-ı Sultân Mahmûd, Vefât-ı Hazret-i Muhammed Aleyhi’s-selâm and Mi’râc-nâme, there remains a work named “Dâsitân-ı Nemrûd Aleyhi’l-la’ne ve İbrâhîm Aleyhi’s-selâm”, which is not yet recognised and currently be found in the National Library of Bulgaria in Sofia with the number OR. 108. Thus, while this study aims to introduce following work and examine its belonging to Şeyyâd Hamza, it will also try to present a transcriptional text of the work.
