Abstract
Comparison of Scenes With Nevfel in Nizami’s and Fuzuli’s Leyli Vu Mecnun
The story of Leyla and Mecnun which is commonly
used as narrative in Eastern Literature, was also scripted
by many poet in mathenawi poetry style. Especially,
Nizami in Classical Persian Literature and Fuzûli in
Classical Turkish Literature are mentioned most often by
inflecting this popular love story according to their
culture and their own tones in their geography. Some
similarities and differences are shown up by poets’
constructing the story in their ways. It is very important
to determine the similarities and differences by vertical
compherison technique for daily Classical Literature
studies.
The scenes of character named as Nevfel in both methnawies
of Nizami and Fuzûli are shaped under the five
headings. Subject comparison was performed in the
perspective of those five headings’ construct. Some
differences were determined in both poets’ productions
which include Nevfel by doing vertical compherison
technique. According to those determinations, two poets’
Fuzuli and Nizami’s perspective of making story, constructing
and adapting the hero to both real and imaginary
world were demonstrated.
Fuzûli utilized from Nizami according to story line.
However, while Nizami was using infroming from story
technique, Fuzûli is more fabulator by both in story
construct and portreying the characteristic of Nefvel.
Nevfel which described by Nizami is only a supporting
role, however Nevfel which decsribed by Fuzûli is more
effective and strong-willed person.
