Abstract
Muhibbî Dîvânı’nda Değerli Taşlar
Since ancient times, in each period the precious stones
that attracted the attention of human beings with their colours
and brightness have been used in the course of time,
sometimes for the healing of diseases, and sometimes they
were used to decorate places and people. Classical Turkish
literature, which is usually mentioned beauties and pulchritude
has opened another its idea to those precious stones.
These stones are used to explain a real meaning purpose
such as cornelian, pearl, diamond, amber, azure, garnet,
coral stones, ruby emerald into rosary, stamp, or ring, earrings,
crown and kind of accessories but these stones
especially used when explaining beloved's beauty edges
and used to express a metaphorical description from those
who is being in the situation of loving.
In this study, according to the explanations presented
in Muhibbi's Divan about the formation of these precious
stones, their origins, types, benefits, harms and some beliefs
that are trusted from them has been mentioned. Based
on the explanation from Muhibbi's Divan, it described the
relationship between general information about these precious
stones and their relationship to the way they were
used based on Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent's Divan,
who also owns the most poems written with more
than 4100 poems.
